This is a revolutionary suspension system developed by Dr Bose and produced by Bose Corporation. The system has been able to achieve a very high degree of compromise between conflicting parameters for passenger comfort and vehicle control. The degree of comfort and control achieved with this system is claimed to be better than any other existing system. Apart from isolating the vehicle and its occupants from the road shocks and controlling body roll and pitching, the system can also be used to raise and lower ride height dynamically, decreasing the vehicle height while crossing on highways, but also able to increase the same for the pot hole ridden city streets, as desired.

Bose system consists of a linear electromagnetic motor at each wheel in lieu of a conventional spring damper system, to which the power amplifier supplies electrical power in response to signals from the control algorithms. Power amplifiers are regenerative that is they supply power to the electromagnetic motor and also allow power to be returned from the motor. For example, when the suspension encounters a pot hole, power is used to extend the motor, isolating the vehicle from the road shock. However, after crossing the pot hole, the motor operates as a generator, returning the power back through the amplifier. This reduces the power consumption by the suspension system drastically.

The control algorithms operate by various sensor measurements which record observations from various points around the vehicle, sending the corresponding commands to power amplifiers which supply the power to the motors accordingly. The electromagnetic motor consists of magnets and coil of wire inside. The supply of electrical power from the power amplifiers to the coils, causes the motor to retract and extend, producing motion between the wheel and the car body, proportional to the sensor signals, thus maintaining the comfort and control.
